NETLab:  Addictions Symposium

How can Jewish human services agencies address the addiction crisis in their own communities? We will seek to impart strategies and tools to answer that question and more over the course of our two-part symposium on the crisis of addiction on Tuesday, Jan. 24, and Tuesday, Jan. 31.

In collaboration with JAAN, the Jewish Addictions Awareness Network, a leading resource across the U.S. and Canada, we will highlight examples of the sector’s response and motivate greater action that meets the mounting challenge of addiction in the Jewish community and beyond.

This NETLab is an offering of NJHSA’s Center for Innovation and Research, with funding from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.

The disease of addiction is impacting the lives of millions and entire communities – including Jewish communities.

This NETLab will convene a diverse set of speakers to emphasize the importance of focusing on addiction in our work and implementing effective service models that create progress and save lives.

Human services staff, lay leaders, and other community professionals are all encouraged to join this conversation on this crucial and timely topic affecting communities. With the challenge of addiction immense, we invite you to join us to learn and find inspiration in programs and services that are making an impact in addressing substance use disorders and other forms of addiction.

The symposium will include a diverse set of speakers and topics along with 5 pending CEUs for participants.
